UCF Head Softball Coach Cindy Ball-Malone met with the media and shared her excitement for the 2024 seasons. Their first in the Big 12, the Knights know they will face some tough competition through the year, but Coach Bear thinks her team will be up for the challenge. Selected to finish 5th in the Big 12 in the pre-season coaches poll, the Knights have a good mix of veterans, transfers, and youth to hopefully exceed those expectations.

Infielder Aubrey Evans returns for another season with UCF Softball, their first in the Big Conference. Aubrey had a great Freshman season as she became a reliable player for the Knights on both offense and defense. Her growth and development as a player will be important as the Knights look to compete for a conference title.

Pitcher/Outfielder Sarah Willis returns for another season with UCF Softball, their first in the Big Conference. Sarah was the ace of the Knights pitching staff in 2023, leading them to a conference title. For UCF to complete in 2024, Sarah will need to continue her dominant ways in the circle.

The UCF Softball team dropped a tough series against #2 Oklahoma during Senior Knight weekend. Head Coach Cindy Ball-Malone likes the way her team competed, even though the results did not fall in their favor. Despite the tough weekend on the diamond, it was also an emotional weekend as the Senior class celebrated their last home game at the UCF Softball Complex.

The UCF Softball team completed a series sweep over conference foe BYU to help improve their in conference record. In the penultimate game, Aubrey Evans delivered a clutch hit to clinch the series win. In the post-game, head coach Cindy Ball-Malone is excited for the win, but knows there is still work to be done.

Outfielder Chloe Evans returns for another season with UCF Softball, their first in the Big Conference. Chloe provided a consistent spark for the 2023 Knights team with clutch hitting and solid defense, which will be needed again in 2024 as UCF looks to compete for a postseason berth
